Our Story

Festinho 2008

2008 was a tough year for Festinho (like everyone else) and we made a very deliberate decision to do everything we could to put ourselves squarely on the festival map, as well as to find a beautiful and permanent new site with the potential for future growth. Both of these objectives we achieved, thanks to the super-human efforts of everyone involved, including you.

We raised a bit of money from the fundraising activities on-site, but we sadly lost money overall. However, we see this as a small and temporary price for what is now clearly a growing festival with a very exciting future.

We are hugely fortunate to have the support of many truly amazing people - not least of whom are our lovely crowd who support us, unfailingly, year on year, as well as all the people behind the scenes, and all of those in front of them too! When we look back in a few years time all of you will have the right to feel wholly satisfied at what you have helped us to build and can rightfully claim to have been there at the beginning.
