FAQs - Tickets

When do I have to pay my deposit by?

Midnight, 15th July 2011.

When do I have to pay the balance of my tickets by?

Midnight, 1st August 2011.

What if I won’t know whether I can come to Festinho until after July 15th?

Those tickets that have had a deposit paid by July 15th, but that haven’t had the balance paid by August 1st, will be put back on sale on August 2nd. However, we cannot guarantee how many of these will be available (if any), so we strongly advise you to place a deposit by July 15th.

Will there be tickets available ‘on the gate’?

Only if we have not sold out of ticket by then. Again, we cannot guarantee this. Bear in mind that each year we have sold considerably more tickets than the previous year, and there’s only so much camping space available at Hinwick House! (As you may know, we had to leave our previous home sooner than we wanted to because we ran out of camping space).

If I pay a deposit by July 15th but then cannot come to Festinho, will I get my deposit back?

Not the full amount, no. You will get 2/3rds of you deposit returned to you though (minus the booking fee).

If I pay a deposit by July 15th but then cannot come to Festinho, will I be able to get my booking fee refunded?

Unfortunately not. The booking fee is not refundable.

Why have you decided on July 15th as a cut-off date?

Mainly so that we can concentrate more on putting the festival on in the 6 busiest weeks of the year for us; as many of you know, we suffered last year with adverse weather while setting up the festival. We want to ensure that we have as much time as possible with as few distractions as possible to ensure the site and the experience is the best that we can make it.

Also, it’s really useful for us to know who’s coming as far in advance as possible so we can plan our site infrastructure accordingly.

Why hasn’t my ticket arrived?

Ah, that’ll be because the lovely folk at We Got Tickets do not issue paper tickets! Instead of sending them to you they give you a unique booking reference (displayed on your screen once you’ve bought your tickets). They email you confirmation of your booking reference shortly after your order has gone through. The booking reference itself plus some ID is all you’ll need to gain entry. Please contact We Got Tickets for questions regarding your tickets. You can get in touch with them here: info [at] wegottickets [dot] com

I've bought several tickets using a single credit card. I only have one reference number, and not all of us are arriving at the same time. Help!

You need to make sure that all people on a single reference number know that number - best thing is to forward the confirmation email to everyone. That email states how many people are coming on that reference number. People can arrive in any order as long as they have the reference number and some ID, and we will cross off the numbers as others arrive until the corresponding number of people have turned up.

How do I reallocate my ticket?

To reallocate your ticket(s) log in to your WeGotTickets account and click on “My Tickets” then “Reallocate”. You can reallocate tickets up until midnight on the day before the event (or midnight on Thursday for weekend events). Please see here for more info.

FAQs - Festival

Can I hire a lovely SoulPad® bell tent at Festinho?

Of course you can! SoulPad tents are available from as little as £10.95 per person/per night. Just click here to book your accommodation in The SoulPad Village™ direct with the soulful folks at SoulPad®

Can I bring my dog / cat / lemur / antelope?

Sorry, no animals are allowed on site other than guide animals. (Much as we’d love to see an antelope at Festinho!)

Can I bring alcohol?

Before answering that directly, we should tell you that a lot of the money we raise for The ABC Trust comes straight from our bar sales. So, while we allow your own alcohol in the campsite, you won’t be allowed to bring it into the arena with you. Plus, our drinks are very reasonably priced.

Can I haz cheezburger?

Yes. Yes you can.

Are barbecues and fires allowed in the campsite?

We’d rather not leave scorch marks on the beautiful land we’re lucky enough to be using this year, so barbecues have to be well off ground, monitored at all times and extinguished when finished. Campfires directly on the ground are not allowed.

I have a live-in vehicle pass. Can my friends pitch their tent with me?

Each live-in vehicle will be allocated roughly 7m x 5m. You’re welcome to use that space how you wish, but you cannot exceed your pitch.

When does the music start?

Music kicks off at about 3pm on Friday, and it’ll all be over by midnight on Sunday.

How far is the campsite from the car park?

Not far at all. We estimate it's about 5 minutes!

When can I arrive?

The campsite opens on Thursday 25th at 2pm so you can get in nice and early this year, all ready for the fun on Friday! While the arena will be open on Thursday evening, there will be no entertainment and no access to the stages. We’ll have a couple of bars running until midnight.

I have a Sunday only ticket. Can I camp on Sunday night?

Afraid not, sorry. A Sunday only ticket does not entitle you to camp overnight and you will need to leave after the entertainment finishes at midnight.

Where can I find a day by day line-up?

The full line-up for each day, by time and stage will available in our onsite programme.

Is there a quiet camping area?

Indeed there is. Please see here for more info on the camping areas.

Can I buy a Friday or Saturday day ticket?

Apologies again - there are only Sunday day tickets available.

When is the box office open?

The box office will be open at midday on thursday, and 9am on friday, saturday and sunday. It will close at around 11pm each day, although you will still be able to gain entry by showing your reference number and ID to the security guards at the gate.
